It is that time of year when we  are given the opportunity to help the children of incarcerated parent(s).

  • There are 1.5 million children of prisoners.
  • 7.3 million children have a parent under some form of correctional supervision.
  • 22% of children with a parent in prison are under 5 years old.
  • The majority of children are under 10; the average age is 8.
  • One in five children is present at their mother’s arrest.

These children need to know that they have not been forgotten by their parent, and their parents need to know that God, through Jesus Christ, has not forgotten them either.

Whether you choose one of 20 names and purchase a gift for that child from the parent in prison or you want to deliver the gift or purchase a gift card from Wal-Mart for the caregiver,  you will demonstrate God’s love.

There will be sign up sheets in the atrium before and after services starting November 29 through the weekend of December 14th.  Should you have any questions, please feel free to call Anita  285-5147 or e-mail This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Along with the above tree, we are also still collecting coats, hats and scarves for the Angel Tree children's Christmas Party.  this year the party will be held on Saturday, December 20.  All tree and coat gifts must be received in the office by December 19.

Angel Tree gifts are being stored in the conference room of the Administrative wing.  There will be two tables one of them will be marked for Angel Tree.
