Lent is marked by a time of prayer and preparation to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus.  We use this time to focus on prayer and the need for God’s grace.

Maxie Dunham in Irresistible Invitation tells us that God through Christ frees us by providing a sense of purpose, a sense of mission, a sense of responsibility, a feeling of self-worth, a basis for relationships, and a sense of being.

Let each of us use this Lenten period to focus on our relationship with Jesus and our role in the mission of the Chardon United Methodist Church to make Disciples of Jesus Christ.
