Ongoing Bible studies and lectionary discussions help us remain “passionately engaged in our spiritual growth,” and contributes to personal transformation. Adult Christian Education classes are scheduled throughout the week, most of the year. We offer a variety of subjects, taught by our pastor or other teachers. Some classes will require education materials to be purchased and may require registration in advance.

Money has great power in our lives and, when used wisely, helps Us meet our goals, provide for our needs, and fulfill our life purpose. But in recent years, many of us ignored this when managing and spending our money. We found ourselves spending tomorrow’s money today. The result of all
of this was not greater happiness and satisfaction, but greater stress and anxiety. Enough is an invitation to rediscover the Bible’s wisdom on prudent financial practices. Find the keys to experiencing contentment, overcoming fear, and discovering joy through simplicity and generosity. You could change your life by changing your relationship with money.

Guiding Teenagers Through the Turbulent Waters of Adolescence
$8.00—Bring your Bible!
Raising kids through their adolescent years is like guiding your family in a raft through whitewater rapids. The role of the guide on such a trip is vital. No one would want to take a whitewater trip without a capable guide. Because every parent has taken this trip before, parents can be encouraged because they know the journey already.
As parent and guide, you know the dangers that lie ahead for your teenager. You know the unseen, destructive forces that lie just below the surface. By trusting in God, by having faith in Him, you can find confident assurance amid turbulent waters.
The adolescent years can be the best years in a family if parent and teen draw closer together and build an even stronger relationship of trust and encouragement. Your teenager does not want you to be a teenager. Your teen wants you to be the parent. Parents need to be firm yet understanding and encouraging as teens test their boundaries and search for significance.

Wednesday Morning Bible Study |
|
|
|
Led by Pastor Dan
9:30 - 11:00 am
Pastor Dan’s Bible Study will continue in 2012. We will begin the year with a study of the Gospel of Mark and the Land of Jesus. Pastor Dan has been in the Holy Land 4 times and has a good understanding of the Land where Jesus walked and lived. So in these Bible Sessions he will share information, photos, and memories of the land and his travels. These sessions will also prepare us for our Epiphany season worship services from Christmas to Lent.
Following Bible Study, Debbie Drew leads stretching and relaxation through Yoga from 11:00 am to 12:15 pm in the Chapel. This is a great class for beginners who can do yoga from a chair or the floor. Debbie is a certified Yoga Instructor and donations for the class are given entirely to the Capital Campaign.
The class is free of charge and open to all, come and share the journey of faith with others. |
