 Ongoing Bible studies and lectionary discussions help us remain “passionately engaged in our spiritual growth,” and contributes to personal transformation. Adult Christian Education classes are scheduled throughout the week, most of the year. We offer a variety of subjects, taught by our pastor or other teachers. Some classes will require education materials to be purchased and may require registration in advance.

Spring Conference and Leadership Training

Dear Colleagues, Lay Leaders and Church Volunteers,
I am so hopeful for our day of Spring conference and Training on April 17th at Mentor UMC. Some of the best leaders in the Spirit’s movement within our church are coming to bless us in our hope of being more fruitful for Jesus. I sincerely believe that this training is a fresh time to gather, grow, and be challenged for the most important work in all the universe. David Scavuzzo
We encourage you to put this training session on your calendar. We will continue to ‘Re-think’ what the church of Jesus can be as well what His mission is for us. We would like 10% of our worshiping congregation to come. In Chardon that would mean 30 to 40 members and friends. The hope of the mission is to embrace the wider circle of saints in our critical mission. Will you be warmed by the flame of God’s Calling? Yoga is a practice of meditation and exercise, with focus on stretching, breathing and meditation. Debbie Drew is offering Yoga Classes here at Chardon UMC. This is a gentle Yoga class for beginners and can even be done in a chair. There will be two classes each week, for an 8 week session beginning the first week in January:
- Afternoon classes will be MONDAYS, 3:30-4:45, starting January 4th
- Evening classes will be Thursdays, 7:00 to 8:15pm, beginning January 7th

February 17th - April 1st
Pastor Dan will lead a scripture study for the Lenten season, Wednesday mornings at 9:30 am and Thursday evenings at 7:00 pm. There is a study book entitled Celebrate the Risen Christ, written by Andy and Sally Langford. ($8.00) The book and classes will guide us through the scriptures of the Old Testament, Epistle, and Gospel lessons for each Sunday in Lent and Easter, so you can study the scriptures before you come to worship on Sunday. Classes will begin on Ash Wednesday, February 17th and run through March 31st, or Thursdays March 18th through April 1st. |
