United Methodist Women is a mission organization whose members give of themselves through prayer, action and financial gifts in response to God's call.
Spiritual Growth
Spiritual growth and theological development are at the heart of United Methodist Women. Members grow in faith and understanding through prayer, Bible study, worship, reflection, interaction with others and active involvement in mission, spiritual growth web sites, Bible studies at events and online, yearly reading lists, and training events to explore reaching United Methodist Women through retreats and inspirational events. -- all essential components of the organization's key emphasis on mission education.
Each year United Methodist Women:
- raises millions of dollars in financial and material resources for programs and institutions aiding and empowering women, children and youth in the United States and more than 100 countries around the world;
- advocates for the needs of women, children and youth whose voices are often not heard in society;
- promotes environmentally friendly personal lifestyles and public policies;
- equips its membership for service and informed action through study of a public issue, a geographic area and a spiritual growth theme in Schools of Christian Mission offered around the country; and
- trains members for leadership and service in district, conference and national events and workshops.

About UMW
( 2 Articles )
According to the Book of Discipline of The United Methodist Church, "In every local church there shall be an organized unit of United Methodist Women."
Mission Areas
The total program of United Methodist Women and the Women's Division is mission. This includes individual growth, spiritual enrichment, education for mission, social issues awareness, leadership development, schools and workshops, and financial support for mission programs and projects throughout the U.S. and around the world. True to our Wesleyan heritage, mission cannot be solely charity, but involves empowerment and advocacy for social change. By combining the two, we can be witnesses to the love and life of Jesus Christ.
To understand the mission of our organization, members of the organization should turn to:

Coffee with Friends
( 1 Article )
Coffee hour is available after all Sunday services in the atrium. This is a wonderful ministry for all to come together in fellowship. We try to always have baked goods available for this ministry and can use everyone's help in making this a success. When you are baking for your family or just in the mood to bake, please make extra and put them in the UMW box in the freezer. If you don't bake or you're just not in the mood, store bought goodies work just as well. This will enable us to always have goodies available for each service.
Thank you for all your support. We look forward to joining you in fellowship.
