The Music Ministry of the Church includes all of the musical groups and programs that help the congregation celebrate its faith through God's gift of talent.  The volunteers in the Music Ministry include not only singers, instrumentalists, actors and dancers, but also a multitude of people who make it all happen.

Worship and the arts are important in the life of our congregation and there is always something for everyone.  This sense of inclusiveness is felt in the worship services as well.  Since this is a large congregation with wide ranging needs and experiences, the music heard in worship likewise meets these criteria.  Whether one finds musical nurture in the great classical music and hymns, gospel songs, or 21st century music of the church, this variety is to be found in the Worship experience of Chardon United Methodist Church.  Everyone's needs are met.  Here, one's sacred memory is nourished.

Our Music Ministry is a wide-ranging program.  It includes a choir for each age group (4 years through senior adult), handbells, dance, acting, Broadway musical performances, a men's gospel quartet, and more.  Worship and the arts are an important aspect of the congregation's life.  For more information on the Cantoria Choir, please contact the Music Director at 440.285.4581 or email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. • 10 or 4   ( 2 Articles )

Inspired by the Gaither Vocal Band, "10 or 4" came together to sing the four-part harmony songs of this southern gospel vocal group.  We often find Jim Yane, Ric White, Dwight Goss, and Jim Vinciquerra singing around the piano or in the halls for fun.  Most of their collection comes directly from the Gaither Vocal Band, but they will often intermix songs from other authors.  Their music isn't purely southern gospel.  While the Gaither Vocal Band resembled the classic southern gospel groups of Gaither’s youth, it was something entirely new unto itself.

"10 or 4" travels to perform at various churches in the area.  We're blessed to have them perform at the Chardon United Methodist Church, in selected worships throughout the year.
