Saturday, December 6

The observance of the Hanging of the Greens is an old English custom of decorating one's home with evergreens and other festive trappings for Advent and Christmas. For all of us here at Chardon United Methodist Church, we continue a very special tradition called the Hanging of the Greens- the decorating of God's house with evergreens.

3:00 pm - the "hanging"
5:00 pm - the worship
6:00 pm - the potluck dinner

Bring the kids.   While you are decorating, the kids have fun activities to take part in.  Dorthine and Prudie work hard getting wreaths, swags, and ribbons ready for this time of fun and fellowship.  Want to take over a tree?  You can have your very own tree to decorate!  This is a good family time at the start of the Christmas season.
