All members of our church were invited to a meeting with Dr. Jay Althouse, for a workshop to discuss and learn about understanding conflict in a church situation and how to transform conflict situations into productive outcomes.  In any large group of people, conflict can arise.   The root of the conflict may be miscommunication, different ideas or priorities, or differing visions.  However, as a body of Christ, we must re-dedicate ourselves to hearing each other in a loving way, and to resolve any conflicts with the best interests of our church in mind.  Dr. Althouse brings to us the opportunity to have constructive discussion around problem solving, all in the spirit of God's love and grace.

While all members (less staff) were invited, it was particularly important for all elected members of our church (committee chairpersons and committee members) to attend.  Since the meeting began at lunchtime, many brought a dish to share.  The lunch was great!
