Golden Old Timer's Luncheon |
Saturday, April 17
Once again, in conjunction with the Maple Festival, we served our Geauga County Seniors. This event celebrates those who have been married over 50 or 60 years, and those who have achieved 90 years of age. The music was provided by the Golden Notes. 160 seniors were served and enjoyed their day at our facility.
We would like to thank the many, many people who helped make the Old Timers Lunch a success. It takes a lot of hands to make this happen - from the planning to the clean-up. The United Methodist Women always do a great job organizing this event. Scott Brown and Marilyn Wilder organized a large group of volunteers from the Chardon Interact club to serve, clean up and to augment our kitchen crew headed by Chef Doug Brown. Prudie Rupp was this year’s Chair. PIES-PIES-PIES they were the best! CUMC pie bakers are the best in the County.
Thank you - you are very much appreciated. See you next year!
