We Praise God for the District Lay Speakers training at CUMC on September 10th and 17th. Congratulations to our own new Lay Speakers, Susan Bennett, Mike Madger and Jim Morgret. (Paul Turner was in that class as well). New Advanced Lay Speakers are Paul Hagan and Bruce Bennett. David Loe also renewed his certification! Pastor Dan Drew taught the Advance Class with was entitled “Go Preach!”. Cathy Comerford Nells is the Registrar for the District Committee and hosted the training days. Sally Bell and John Eltzroth are also Lay Speakers from our Church. Earl Vansant was often remembered for his lead in this ministry. Others who are interested in becoming Lay Speakers should contact Pastor Dan and we can inform you of any upcoming training opportunities.
