Chardon UMC is committed to providing an evening meal the first Sunday of every month.  The menu you plan is your choice.  As a general guideline, a nutritionally balanced meal with foods from the major food groups benefits the shelter guests’ health and well being.

The meals are an important component of this shelter program.  Meal preparation must be done off-site, accommodate up to 40 clients and be delivered by 6:45 pm the day of the meal.  The shelter staff will assist in gathering the meal once it is dropped off at the shelter.  If you are interested in also serving the meal, a volunteer orientation is required.  Please bring food in disposable containers such as aluminum foil pans, as they do not have a commercial dishwasher or oven. Sorry, but they cannot be responsible for returning dishes. Paper products, beverages, cups, and utensils are welcomed donations, but are not required of food donors.

Members and friends are welcome to use the church kitchen for preparation of the food.  Please contact the church office to request your place on the master schedule.
