Red Cross Bloodmobile

It doesn't take much to help save a life! Just an hour or so out of your day could mean a lifetime to someone's child, best friend, grandparent or spouse.

So, what does it take? Donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in general good health. We ask that you bring a valid photo ID and a list of all current medications with you when you come to donate. You many donate blood every 56 days.

Chardon UMC invite you to "give the gift of life" at the upcoming Red Cross blood drive.  The need for blood continues to grow.  If you are medically able, please give the gift of life!  The Chardon United Methodist Church hosts the Red Cross Bloodmobile every two months.  Please come and donate.  The need is constant.  The gratification is instant.

Every minute of every day, someone needs blood. That blood can only come from a volunteer donor, a person like you who makes the choice to donate. There is no substitute for your donation. When you make a blood donation, you join a very select group. Currently only 3 out of every 100 people in America donate blood.

Thousands of Americans are in need of vital organs and tissues.  For many, the chance to live a full life will not come unless more of us consider organ and tissue donation.  Each one of us has the potential to save up to eight lives as an organ donor and touch another seventy-five as a tissue donor.  To register as donor, say “Yes” when asked to be an organ and tissue donor at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles, Register on-line at www.donatelifeohio.org, call LifeBanc at 888-558-LIFE to receive a registration form or include organ and tissue donation in your living will.  For more information, contact Hadie Bartholomew at 216-752-LIFE or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
