“Do all the good you can, in all the places you can, to all the people you can”
    - John Wesley

Whenever you say "Methodist," in the same breath you have to say "connectional." Methodist people and their congregations everywhere are connected to each other, not only by faith and common heritage.  We are also connected by compassion and outreach to a needy world.  Apportionments are a method of giving by each local church, in proportion to local church expenses, to the General Conference of the United Methodist Church.  Apportioned funds enable United Methodists to do together what no church, district or annual conference could do alone.

The Sharing God's Gifts Website offers stories, video clips, downloadable resources and information on each of the general church apportioned funds.

The General Council on Finance and Administration offers the article “Why We Apportion: A Theology of Giving.”  The article addresses Biblical stewardship, the United Methodist connection for mission, the theological foundations and Wesleyan heritage for apportionments as a system of giving.

For a personal note regarding connectional giving, please read Sandra K. Lackore's letter on Apportioned Giving.

The East Ohio Conference has allocated our apportionments, as follows:
