Home Stewardship Capital Campaign 2011
Capital Campaign 2011
The August 28th Church Conference approved the Capital Campaign to reduce our building debt.  A Campaign Steering Committee has been organized and will meet with our consultant, Bill Kimball, each Wednesday evening.

This campaign will be run concurrently with our annual stewardship campaign.  Our Campaign Kick-Off has been set for Sunday, October 16, and Celebration Sunday will be December 4.

We have target goal of raising $855, 000 over a three-year time commitment.  Our stretch goal is $950,000.   This is in addition to our commitments for annual operating pledges.   This goal represents 1.5 times the annual pledged amount for 2010, and spread over three years, is believe to be an achieveable goal.

Our theme is “Embracing the Dream”, representing what we would like to do as a church, once we are no longer burdened with debt.  A "dream tree" will be placed in the church to allow each of us to identify our dreams for the church.  Please visit our website frequently for updates on our campaign.

2011 IRA Charitable Rollover ends 12/31/2011 PDF Print E-mail
If you are over 70 and half years of age, this fall also provides another remarkable opportunity, if you have IRA assets and especially if you have required distributions.  Read on!

The compromise tax bill (“Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Authorization, and Job Creation Act of 2010”) extends until December 31, 2011, a provision known as the “Charitable IRA Rollover” which allows taxpayers age 70½ or older to make tax-free transfers (of up to $100,000 per year) directly from their IRA to charities.
The law, originally enacted in 2006, expired at the end of 2009, but has now been renewed for an additional two years, through December 31, 2011.

If you would like to make a special contribution to our capital campaign through your IRA, please contact Bill Kimball through our church office or your own financial advisor.

Holy Spirit, I pray that you would mold my heart to reflect the humility, generosity and love of Jesus, as we your church seek to be embracing the dream.  Let me model His Humility: placing others before myself; His Generosity: giving of my abundance; and His Love: sacrificially seeking the good that can be accomplished through mission and service.
