Dear Beloved in the Lord,
This fall we have a remarkable opportunity to shape the course of our future through our Capital Campaign to reduce and eventually eliminate our debt.

Most of us have a personal debt and mortgage. We grew up in and through an era that taught us that a healthy debt was a good thing. But the realities of this century are debt is burden and presents us with long term challenges that are difficult to overcome. Most of us realize that we cannot leave to our children, and theirs, the debts that have been created by the current realities. Our country has a worrisome debt, our state and local governments have liabilities that will limit and determine our future. And our church has a large debt which is counterproductive to our ministry. Most of us cannot control nor do anything about the debts of our governments or our society, BUT WE CAN DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE DEBT OF OUR CHURCH. Through this capital campaign we have the possibility to eliminate our debt in the next three years.

We will often hear the phrase, “Debt free in three” and it will mean for us that we can face the future with infinite more possibilities and strengths for ministry. We can go from current realities to actually fulfilling what previously we could have only dreamed of. Without debt we can turn dreams into new realities.

I hope you will take the time to prayerfully consider your part in this remarkable opportunity, and make a pledge or one time gift to the capital campaign. Isn’t it great to know debts that cannot be forgiven by our great God can be overcome by our great efforts?
