SACRIFICE = LOSS = GAIN = HOPE = JOY

One must sacrifice—give up something—to gain something better, which then brings hope of something better, which then brings joy. Who knew sacrifice could do all that?

Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice—He gave His life. Read the story in John chapters 18-20, the betrayal, crucifixion and then resurrection of Christ. He sacrificed His life, He lost His life, He gained salvation for those who believe, He brought hope to the world and we experience joy for we have the gift of salvation and eternal life with God. Try out the formula in your life. Instead of sitting around moping or watching TV or doing nothing, make a little sacrifice and see how it changes not only your life, but those around you . Don’t be afraid. It may be very exciting and may change your life!
