Youth Group Upcoming

You may be a middle-school student making the transition to high school, or you may be a high-school student looking to make new friends. Sometimes, even if you have been in a church for awhile, it can be difficult to start participating in a church youth group.  But you will find that it's a laid-back time to relax and get to know one another.

Participate in a church youth group by being yourself. Resist the urge to copy anyone else's personality. Relax and know that it is not wise to compare yourself with anyone else. Even the most popular and talented kids in the church youth group have their faults. Come, be yourself, and have fun in fellowship with God.  Join our Oasis Facebook Group and learn more about us.

Regular meeting times (during the school year)

Deuteronomy Choir 5:30 pm
Youth Group (meeting/education) 6:30 pm
Youth Pickup (snacks & entertainment) 8:00 - 9:00 pm

We are building on the idea that our faith journey changes and grows due to relationships

  • our relationship with God and Jesus,
  • our relationship with mentors, and
  • our relationship with each other, in this case Sr. high to Jr. High and with their peers.

Chrysalis Flights in Winter 2012 PDF Print E-mail
The roots of Chrysalis and Chrysalis Journey are deeply planted in its parent movement, the Walk to Emmaus. Much like the Walk to Emmaus, you'll spend three days with other people your age in worship, prayer, fellowship, creative expression, recreation, singing, and discussion. You'll experience the love of God through prayers and the acts of service from a loving support community.

High School Chrysalis Flights 15-18 years of age and Young Adult Chrysalis Journeys 19-24 years of age.
  • Boys Flight - February 18-20

Generation Change PDF Print E-mail

Date to be announced

We are scheduling our first Genetation Change class at the church.

Sadly, few teenagers are prepared for the realities of personal finance. Only 51% know how to write a check, and only 34% can balance a checkbook.* The reality is that few students understand the principles of a healthy financial lifestyle.

The result? The next generation spends money they don’t have to buy things they don’t need to impress people they don’t even like. It's time for a change.

Generation Change is prepared to help you make a difference. Taught on video by personal money-management expert Dave Ramsey, Generation Change is a four-part Bible study that will teach our youth about money from a biblical perspective.
