Who’s your neighbor?Love your neighbor … love your enemy? Large group activities and discussion. led us to recognize that we serve as Christ around others. We discussed who we dislike or "hate", and then threw darts at a dartboard, while yelling who we dislike. We removed the covers of the dartboards, and found Jesus underneath. This was a graphic reminder that Jesus is in everyone, and that we are killing Jesus when we dislike those around us.We also heard a story of a poor woman that was expecting to host a dinner for Jesus. Before Jesus came, she gave the meal (and her coat) to a homeless couple shivering in the cold. When she arrived home, worried that she had nothing to serve, she found a note from Jesus thanking her for the great meal and the lovely coat. Another example that Jesus is in everyone. |
